KID RAISING: All kids are pulled at birth and raised on pasteurized milk in a separate kid nursery. They are disbudded, tattooed, wormed, weaned, "fixed" (for wethers!) and current on immunizations at the time of their departure, between ages 8 and ten weeks. We will be bottle raising our 2012 babies, as we have done previously in 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011. Bottle babies truly shine in terms of their friendliness, trust, and adaptability to changes in their environments.
BUCK KIDS: We plan to continue to wether most of our buck kids, so we expect to have a nice selection of "fixed" baby boys (wethers) for sale as pets in 2012. Although we are very pleased with our breeding stock and bloodlines, we want to see consistent quality in our kids and mammaries before we commit to herdsire sales. However, any truly exceptional boys out of truly exceptional dams will be posted on our Kids' Sales Page and offered intact. RESERVATIONS: We are not accepting paid reservations, but do keep a list of kid requests. When the kid (or kids) of interest are born, we will provide notification. To hold a chosen kid(s) until weaning, a deposit of half the purchase price will be required within ten days of notification. Deposits are non-refundable. PRICING: We retain the right to adjust pricing after our "breeding quality" babies are born and we have had an opportunity to more fully assess conformation and potential. Prices will remain as stated for wethers.
*$125 per wether/$75 each for additional wethers *$200/up for pet quality/homestead quality (no papers) doelings *$300/up for registerable breeding/show quality doelings/bucklings
We will negotiate competitive discounts for multiple animals, beginning herds (buck/does), and 4-H homes--Ask us!

PRICING NOTES: In recognition of the tough financial times that folks are facing and consistent with our belief that quality Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats should not be out of the reach of the average consumer, we have kept our sales prices reasonable for the 2012 kidding season, offering discounts for quantity purchases as well as 4-H and FFA homes. We encourage purchasers to check out our pedigrees, write-ups, and photos, as well as contact us personally for more information about our ND breeding program. We anticipate that we will be able to offer a wide variety of new kids, as well as some adults--from pet to milker to show quality--for sale in the spring...

2012 KIDDINGS DAM/SIRE--Price--Breeding/Due Dates--Comments
Morning Star Dixie Chick CLICK/NC PromisedLand RC Stormy*S*B CLICK--Does $500/Bucks $400/Bred 10-18/19-11 (Due 3-12/13-12)--Twice being paired with Water Tabby+*S, Dixie has produced two years worth of beautiful kids here. In fact, her 2010 daughter has placed first in her class of yearling milkers for ALL five of her ADGA shows in 2011! Stormy is also producing quality kids; a 2011 daughter placed Reserve Champion Junior Doe in her first show ever. At the very least, we are expecting kids with strong general appearance and good dairy character, but we are also hoping to see Stormy pass on the Top Ten Milk production of his dam, GCH/ARMCH CAESAR'S VILLA LV BREEZY 2*D 1*M 2009 LA--90 VEEV--2009 AGS and ADGA Top Ten; 2010 ADGA National Show: High Milk & High Butterfat--Doe RetainedFlat Rocks Golden Beryl (Polled) CLICK/Rosasharn Tom's Water Tabby+*S CLICK--Does $600/Bucks $500/Bred 10-26-11 (Due 3-19-11)--Repeat of the 2011 breeding that produced gorgeous triplets, one doe of which we retained (and she's a beauty!) This breeding is a combination of some very old and original Nigerian lines. Goldie is extremely strong in body capacity; her udder is a typical Flat Rocks Gem udder--well-attached with an especially smooth extended fore, strong medial, and huge plumb teats; AND she is one of our top three milkers despite a mastitic udder half. No explanation needed for Tabby, who has done great things for our herd. He's lost most of his teeth, but none of his virility (and hopefully none of his fertility)--Buck Retained
Dawnland Sea's May Day/Painted Pepper RJ Soleil*S*B--Does $400/Bred 11-4-11 (Due 4-2-12)--One of our favorite does, recently returned, and more beautiful than before. May Day first freshened two years ago with a shapely and well-attached udder, but she lacked capacity. That capacity came with a 2011 second freshening--May Day was a steady three pound milker--and we are thrilled to have her come home. May Day is a daughter of deceased Twin Creeks BW Sudden Sea*S, a MCH/SGCH Little Rascals Black Dahlia 2*D 1*M "E"/Bay Watch++*S "E" son, and very closely resembles her aunt here, Sea's sister TX Twincreeks CAS Enchantress: super dairy and super strong conformationally. Soleil is a son of our all-around best Water Tabby+*S daughter, SG Zing*D 1*M AR "VG", sired by an ARMCH Rosasharn's Eclipse 2*D 2*M "E" son...REALLY NICE UDDER SPRINGING WITH HUGE PLUMB TEATS!
Dawnland Tabby's Morning Glory CLICK LINK/Castle Rock Purple Haze*S, A Son of Top Ten Milker, SGCH Algedi Farm H Purple Rain 4*D AR 2011 LA-90 VEEV--Does $400/Bred 11-14-11 (Due 4-7-11)--Most likely lots of milk with this breeding, which is a linebreeding of Rosasharn Top Ten production lines. Diva was an excellent first freshening milker in 2010, but remained open in 2011, so these kids are much anticipated. FF/Poppy Patch FM Sugar Pie Honey/NC PromisedLand RC Stormy*S*B--Does $300/Bred 11-29-11 (Due 4-22-12)--Sugar Pie is out of one of Poppy Patch's nicest does, CH Poppy Patch RC Semi Sweet, a Twin Creeks BW Rebel W/O A Cause*S daughter--CLICK AND SCROLL DOWN TO SEE SEMI SWEET--and we hope that she ends up with both her dam's udder (perfectly centered teats, a beautiful medial, an extended fore) AND production (3 quarts a day!) As we continue to review Stormy's kids, we can't help but be impressed. He is consistently passing on wide, flat rumps; level toplines (no roaching of the loin); arching escutcheons with lots of width between the hocks; and super dairy character. These kids should have it all (if the genetic toss of the dice goes according to plan) and we may end up keeping a doe.
FF/Piddlin Acres CB Moulin Rouge/Dawnland Tabby's Mohawk--Does $300/Bred 12-5-11 (Due 4-28-12)--We are behind with updating Moulin's profile on the website...A late first freshener coming on three years, Moulin is a small doe, with a great deal of width in the chest and escutcheon, and nicely-placed large teats. Her sire, Piddlin Acres Cowboy Boots, is out of MCH/CH Tessa's Boots, a line that we have always admired for high wide rear udders and well-extended, smooth foreudders. Her dam brings in the Sugar Creek genetics of ARMCH Sugar Creek SS Silhouette 6*D "E", a record-breaking milker. And, as a further plus, Moulin is also linebred on Lost Valley TB Bonzai*S (and a dose of his sire's ARMCH Tae-Bo+*S+B genetics certainly holds positive promise for lots of milk and a nice udder as well.) Pairing Moulin with Mohawk further linebreeds on Tae-Bo+*S+B through Mohawk's dam line. Mohawk is a super-sharp refined buck and we think that the combo of Moulin's body capacity, Mohawk's dairy character, and their shared genetics should produce some good-looking and productive milkers. Dawnland Tabby's Seneca/Painted Pepper RJ Soleil*S*B--Does $500/Bucks $400/Bred 12-10-11 (Due 5-3-12)--Water Tabby linebreeding, pairing a daughter with a grandson. Soleil is a son of Water Tabby+*S daughter, SG Zing*D 1*M AR "VG", sired by an ARMCH Rosasharn's Eclipse 2*D 2*M "E" son--Doe Retained FF/Poppy Patch Pretty as a Peach/Rosasharn Tom's Water Tabby+*S--Does $400/Bred 12-15-11 (Due 5-8-12)--Looking for Tabby to add his signature sharp dairy character to a small, but substantial, doe who comes from a long line of absolutely exceptional udders (see some HERE)--Doe Retained
Rosasharn UMT Wasabi 5*D 4*M AR "VG" CLICK/Dawnland Tabby's Mohawk CLICK--Does $800/Bucks $600/Bred 10-6-11 (Due 2-28-12) Bred 10-7-11 (Due 2-29-12) Bred 12-16-11 (Due 5-9-12) Bred 1-31-12 (Due 6-24-12?)--The sires of this breeding pair are full siblings, so essentially this is a close linebreeding on the ARMCH Tom Thumb/ARMCH Water Lilly cross--with the addition of some nice production genetics through Wasabi's Top Ten dam and Mohawk's Lost Valley lines. Wasabi has one of the nicest udders here, one that her breeder feels very closely approximates that of her more illustrious maternal half-sister, GCH Haiku--Doe Retained FF/Dawnland Sorcerer's Zelda/Castle Rock Purple Haze*S-Does $300/Bred 12-16-11 (Due 5-9-12)--An SG Dawnland Tabby's Zing*D 1*M AR daughter matched with a son of Top Ten Milker SGCH Algedi Farm H Purple Rain 4*D AR; both are lovely animals whose pairing linebreeds on Rosasharn and Twin Creeks lines. Additionally, Zelda carries Top Ten production genetics from her sire's dam, who earned the second place spot for production with AGS in 2009, milking 1400+ pounds. Zelda has also inherited the nice big teats of her dam, certainly a real plus for ease of future milking--Doe Probably Retained Lost Valley BW Pop Tart CLICK LINK/Rosasharn Tom's Water Tabby+*S CLICK LINK--Does/Bucks $600/Bred 12-27-11 (Due 5-20-12)--Kingwood++*S and Bay Watch++*S genetics combined. Pop Tart is a powerful girl who should cross well with Tabby's refinement. She had an impressive first freshening udder in 2010, very show-worthy and wonderful to milk, and we anticipate some really nice kids from this pairing--Doe Retained FF/Kyeema Ridge MS Black Shadow/Rosasharn Tom's Water Tabby+*S--Does $400/Bred 12-10-11, 1-1-12 (Due 5-3-12, 5-24-12)--Rosasharn linebreeding based on the ARMCH Tom Thumb/ARMCH Water Lilly cross. Black Shadow's dam is a Rosasharn UMT Wasabi 5*D 4*M AR daughter, sired by a late Tiger L son, Killer Bee (who was out of ARMCH Rosasharn's UMT Honey Bee 4*D 4*M 'E' AR)... Very solid genetics for proven udders and milk---Doe Probably Retained TX Twincreeks WDF Butterfly Dance/Dawnland Tabby's Mohawk--Does $600/Bucks $500/Bred 1-4-12 (Due 5-28-12)--A great match that we had to do on the spur of the moment! Butterfly is undoubtedly one of our best all around does and Mohawk has matured into a really beautiful boy--long, level, sharp--certainly reflective of the quality of both his sire, our Rosasharn Tom's Water Tabby+*S and his late half-brother, ARMCH/CH Halifax+S "E". Very solid udder and milk genetics behind this pairing too--Doe RetainedDawnland Curry's Vocalise/Fairlea Arsene Lupin*S--Does $500/Bucks $400/Bred 1-9-12 (Due 6-2-12)--Hoping to produce another Fairlea Marguerite 4*D 4*M AR...This match pairs one of our best udders with the genetics of a MCH Twin Creeks WB Firestorm+*S "E"/ARMCH Fairlea Fleur 3*D 3*M "E" son--Doe Retained TX Twincreeks CAS Enchantress/Castle Rock Purple Haze*S--Does $450/Bred 1-10-12 (Due 6-3-12)--Tessie is one of our most productive milkers, putting 5 pounds into the pail at peak and maintaining a long, level lactation of between 2.5/3 pounds when being milked ONCE daily. She is also the daughter of an awesome old doe: the ageless MCH/SGCH Little Rascals Black Dahlia 2*D 1*M "E". On the sire side for these kids is Purple Haze, a gorgeous buck with a milk-saturated pedigree. We just love this guy and are using him heavily this season, pairing him with some of our best does--Doe Retained/Doe Reserved Piddlin Acres W Rosemary/Painted Pepper RJ Soleil*S*B, son of SG Dawnland Tabby's Zing*D 1*M AR "VG"--Does $600/Bucks $500/Bred 1-20/21-12 (Due 6-13/14-12)--Pairs one of our top does, udder-wise as well as production-wise, with a very correct buck, who represents what we have found to be a very successful genetic combination: Twink's Pixie lines crossed with Rosasharn. Soleil also excels in dairy character, and has a beautiful wide and flat rump that we ND breeders love to see. Call it intuition, but Soleil just might give Halifax a future run for his money!--Doe Retained FF/Kyeema Ridge KB Timeless/Castle Rock Purple Haze*S, A Son of Top Ten Milker, SGCH Algedi Farm H Purple Rain 4*D AR 2011 LA-90 VEEV---Does $300/Bred 12-29-11, 1-16-12, 1-21-12 (Due 5-22-12, 6-9-12, 6-14-12)--Really can't see how these kids can be less than stellar... Dam to Timeless is an ARMCH/CH Dawnland Tabby's Halifax+S "E" daughter who linear appraised "93" EEEE in 2011! And our Castle Rock boy is out of an equally stunning doe who really puts it in the pail--Doe Probably Retained
SG Dawnland Tabby's Zing*D 1*M AR CLICK LINK/Rosasharn TL Curry*S--Does$800/Bucks $600/Bred 12-5-11, 12-10-11, 12-31-11, 1-1-12 (Due 4-28-12, 5-3-12, 5-23/4-12)--Curry is a Tiger L son and his kids have been uniformly dairy and refined, with his first daughters showing udders very typical of Rosasharn quality. This pairing, which linebreeds on Rosasharn through Zing's paternal genetics, should deliver some quality high milking kids. We consider Zing to be our best Water Tabby*S daughter thus far and her two daughters here (2010) are beautiful...Expecting the same this time around! OR SG Dawnland Tabby's Zing*D 1*M AR CLICK LINK/Rosasharn GX Star Anise*S--Does$800/Bucks $600/Bred 1-23/24-12 (Due 6-16/17-12)--Star is a maternal half-brother to Curry, sired by Rosasharn's TL Galaxy*S "E"++B. He's a long-boned and refined buck, very similar in conformation to his brother. Our expectations are that he should produce kids similar in quality to Curry's progeny--Doe Retained FF/Dawnland Sorcerer's Verbena/Rosasharn GX Star Anise*S--Does $300/Bred 1-24-12 (Due 6-17-12)--Verbena is out of one of our best seniors--the beautiful (and "milky") Piddlin Acres W Rosemary--sired by a buck whose dam earned the second place spot for production with AGS in 2009, milking 1400+ pounds. Star carries lots of milk too, being the product of some of Rosasharn's most proven genetic lines: dam Wasabi (Unagi x UMT) and sire Galaxy (Eclipse x Tiger L.)
Lost Valley TB Checotah/Rosasharn TL Curry*S--Does $600/Bucks $500/Bred 1-4/5-12, 1-24/25-12, 1-30-12, 2-11-12 (Due 5-28/29-12, 6-17/18-12, 6-23-12, 7-4-12)--Crosses one of our most productive milkers, a doe with a beautifully attached udder and a very milky pedigree, with our proven (shapely udders, good production, and very dairy conformation in his daughters) Tiger L son/Rosasharn GX Star Anise*S/Bred 2-5-12 (Due 6-28-12)--Star is a maternal half-brother to Curry, sired by Rosasharn's TL Galaxy*S "E"++B. He's a long-boned and refined buck, very similar in conformation to his brother. Our expectations are that he should produce kids similar in quality to Curry's progeny--Doe Retained

Eroica is litter sister to Vocalise, who has one of the nicest udders in our herd and both are daughters of one of our foundation does, TX Twincreeks WDF Butterfly Dance.
