It is with great excitement that we present Fresca as a member of our junior doe pen. Reserved a long time in advance of her birth, it's hard to believe that she is finally here! Even though she is a Texan by birth, Fresca carries genetics deeply embedded in our northeastern Nigerian Dwarf herds. Her forebears have been very influential in the development of many of the top show and milking animals in New England and we have hopes that she will carry on their legacy of quality in the future.
Fresca is a stunning doe appearance-wise, with her bold black-and-white colouring accompanied by one brown moonspot on her side. She is long-bodied and level, with a very tight, correct front end, and the marked escutcheon width that seems to be one of Lost Valley's trademarks. We think her beauty will really "wow" the judges, so watch for Fresca to shine in the ring this summer of 2008.

GoGo is niece to our Piddlin Acres V Princess; her dam and Princess are full sisters. We consider Princess's udder to be one of the nicest in our herd--capacious, well-attached, with huge well-placed teats and milking down to nothing--so we have high hopes for little GoGo. Paternal pedigree-wise, GoGo brings in the added benefits of both Stonewall's Raising Arizona++S and Twin Creeks Brave Heart++S. She's easy on the eyes too, being a refined doeling with good dairy character and sound general conformation. GoGo's nice and wide, front and back, as well as very long in her body...Definitely another doeling with both the good looks and a pedigree that will take her places!

We see lots of future potential with this kid!

At six days of age, she has reached 1 pound 13-1/2 ounces in weight, a half ounce bigger than a peach can! A very pretty girl, wide in the rear and level on the top, out of one of our most promising first fresheners. |

The "foundling" story of this doeling would be enough for us to keep her, but we are doubly blessed in that she's turning out to be a beauty as well as a miracle discovery! Still running around the kitchen at age two weeks, Wunder is long, level, and has an attention-getting spunk to her. It's probably no surprise that Wunder is meeting our expectations for a "keeper" since both her parents are impressive NDs in their own rights. Her dam is extremely strong is general conformation--being uphill, tight in the right places as well as wide in the right places, having excellent feet and legs all round...and showing a very promising high, tight first freshening udder. Wunder's sire's genetics need no justification: nationally-known ancestors with proven milk and show ability. We feel certain that Wunder will grow true to the quality of her pedigree, and we look forward to showing her as a junior later in the 2008 season.
